Have you ever wondered why a lot of us participated in one sport or the other when we were kids but later left the business of sports while growing up? Well, you’re not alone. According to a poll from the National Alliance for Youth Sports, around 70 percent of kids in the United States stop playing organized sports by the age of 13 because “it’s just not fun anymore.” Yeah, you read that right. Why is sport no more fun anymore? Of course, we can point to a lot of factors: lack of mentorship, lack of direction, being unaware of the enormous benefits sports provide, and a lot more.
Being sport professionals ourselves, we recognize these. After a lot of meetings and brainstorming with leading sports professionals, we created Sportconn, a platform where athletes, coaches, sport physiotherapists, and other professionals in the sport industry can come together to create and access sports opportunities without barriers, providing career growth for all. In short, Sportconn is a social marketplace to connect athletes and sports professionals.

Jude Atalegbe is the founder and CEO of Sportconn, a sports networking platform designed to connect the global sports community and provide real-time sports updates. A father of three and a serial entrepreneur, his Sportconn journey began in 2023 when he launched the platform.
His passion for sports, combined with his expertise in computer science, management, and sports agency, led him to create Sportconn. With hands-on experience in technology, business development, and startup management, Jude is committed to revolutionizing how sports professionals and fans connect worldwide.
